Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy (LAVH)

Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy (LAVH) is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.

Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy (LAVH) involves a surgical procedure that combines hysteroscopy with endometrial biopsy and cystoscopy. This procedure is typically performed to diagnose and treat abnormalities within the uterus and bladder, such as abnormal uterine bleeding and suspected urinary tract conditions. During the procedure, a hysteroscope, a thin, lighted tube with a camera, is inserted through the cervix into the uterus, allowing the surgeon to visualize the uterine cavity. Surgical instruments are then used to obtain tissue samples from the endometrium for biopsy, which are sent to a laboratory for further examination. Concurrently, a cystoscope, a similar instrument used to examine the bladder, is inserted through the urethra into the bladder to assess urinary tract conditions such as bladder tumors, urinary tract infections, or bladder stones. This combined approach offers both diagnostic and therapeutic benefits, providing a comprehensive evaluation of both the uterus and bladder while minimizing the need for multiple procedures and improving patient outcomes.
