Laparoscopic Hernia Repair
Laparoscopic Hernia Repair is available through Mishe Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
Laparoscopic hernia repair is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat hernias, including inguinal, ventral, and incisional hernias. During the procedure, the surgeon makes small incisions in the abdomen through which a laparoscope (a thin, flexible tube with a camera) and specialized surgical instruments are inserted. The laparoscope provides a magnified view of the hernia defect on a monitor, allowing the surgeon to repair the hernia with precision. Mesh may be used to reinforce the weakened abdominal wall and reduce the risk of recurrence. Laparoscopic hernia repair offers several advantages over traditional open surgery, including smaller incisions, reduced postoperative pain, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery times.
